How to use the WAIT node in KNIME?
In this example, our famous company Sport-up sent me the files for orders placed in 2019 and orders placed in 2020. However, the 2020 file needs to be modified every month.
This means that every time I restart my workflow to concatenate my 2019 and 2020 files, the wait node will update my file each time it is modified.

What possibilities does this node offer?
One node, three possibilities!
- First option: Wait for time to wait until the selected time has elapsed
- Second option: Wait to time to wait for the selected time
- and finally: Wait for file towait for the file to be created, modified, or deleted

In this example, I ask the Wait node to update my file every time it changes.
When I run my workflow, I see that my 2019 file has been read correctly because the green color indicates this, while my Wait node for the 2020 file is still active:

Here, I change the number of the first line ofthe Order ID directly in my file.
And when I return to my workflow, it has executed correctly.

Thanks to the Row filter node, I can find the modified element by adding the column name and the modified number.

As a result, the element has been successfully modified:

That's all for me! 🙂
I conclude the KNIME Expert course with this article, which I hope you will find very useful.
